about
Toby Andersen started his musical career when he formed Funkapolitan in 1980. Funkapolitan was a legendary UK Disco band, and London Records first signing. Later in the 1980s Toby Andersen co-wrote Curiosity Killed the Cat’s first Number 1 album, later playing on Soul II Soul's first Album. Toby also formed Lotown Studios, creating soundtracks for the BBC Natural History Unit series ‘Predators’, a notable career in TV commercials followed, with many accolades gained including DNAD and Cannes Gold awards.
Bringing it all back to the solo piano, in Chasing Shadows Toby Andersen composes and performs a clear soundtrack to accompany you through the hectic modern world. Chasing Shadows is relaxing, emotive, driving, and pure. A system by which to live life.

Both this remix album and the original release are essential. The modern classical original was such a beautiful mix of melody and mood and the remixes just go one step further. DF Tram, another of my current favourite artists, puts his own spin on my favourite couple of tracks here, but all of the remixes stand as tracks in their own right without completely disregarding the beauty of the originals. Stunning from start to end.
