Spotness N Rebel Radio Both original versions are incredible anyways, but just to hear Youth doing a psychedelic dubwise remix of these guys is epic. Youth always shines when he's got his dub hat on. He makes it sparkle as well as groove and skank. Then Tim Bran also on remix duties!! My electronic early days were basically shaped by those early techy Dreadzone releases. Super long Fugu version at the end for you epic dub purists. Tx LSD..Great way to start the new year.

Dub Spencer & Trance Hill join the Liquid Sound Design family with 2 brand new remixes by UK legends Youth and Tim Bran (Dreadzone).
This Swiss Quartet is one of Europe's most innovative Live Dub Bands. They mix Roots Dub with psychedelic Trance Music and Postrock influences. Riddim Magazin: "Pink Floyd meets Bob Marley".

“The ‘trance’ in the band name stands for the electronic part of our sound. Although it has hardly ever appeared on a record, it has always been there – much like the original tunes of Trance Plane & Fugu. Now we want to explore this aspect.”

From the old comes forth the new, and dub merges with electronic dance music, or rather “trance music”. Tracks like “Trance Plane”, “Fugu” clearly have an up-tempo spirit and extend an invitation to rave. The sound has become even more bassy and psychedelic without losing any of its earthy, organic touch. The four musicians booked the legendary Winterthur Hard Studios to fine-tune their sound, returning with lovely tracks that bubble, echo and groove wonderfully and have the unmistakable Dub Spencer & Trance Hill sound. It’s a truly magical moment, much like the birth of a butterfly.

Dub Spencer & Trance Hill refined artists such as William S. Burroughs, Dieter Meier of Yello, Ken Booth, Lee Scratch Perry and others.
